Where Rivers Dream, captures the power, serenity, and mystery of water in the landscape through a poetic and abstracted form. It explores the dynamic intersection of water and earth, paying tribute to the geographic area (now called Ashburnham) as the headwaters of the region’s major river systems. Existing in a space between thought, movement, and place, the artwork honors the subtle movement of water flowing underground, beneath us all. These paintings embody the current’s quiet yet profound ability to shape and sustain the land — a force of continuous change, though sometimes unseen.

Inspiration for these works spanned from research with local historians and environmentalists - to lived experience as a child swimming, boating, drinking, bathing and frolicking in the waters of Ashburnham.

Water and art, both vital resources to healthy communities, are to be held with deep reverence as they are both shaped by their environment and shapers of their environment.
